Perfect Pan Seared Sea Scallops (dairy free + gluten free + paleo + keto)

This super simple sea scallop recipe requires just five minutes and three ingredients, and pairs wonderfully with sides, salads or soups!

SCALLOPS are an excellent source of vitamin B12 and omega-3 fatty acids, both of which have been shown to support health cognitive function.

LEMONS are full of vitamin c, which plays an essential role in maintaining proper immune system function.

NATURAL SEA SALT contains sodium and potassium, both of which help to release retained water and reduce inflammation.

Perfect Pan Seared Sea Scallops

12 large dry packed sea scallops

2 tbsp unrefined coconut oil

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

to taste duxbury saltworks classic sea salt

Heat 2 tbsp coconut oil in a large frying pan over high heat.

Once the oil is hot, add the sea scallops to the pan and let cook for 2 minutes until scallops have crisped on one side.

Flip the scallops and continue cooking for additional 2 minutes on the other side.

Then, add the lemon juice to the pan, sprinkle the scallops with sea salt, shake the pan to distribute seasonings and continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes, until the scallops are fully opaque.

Serve with your favorite sides, over salad, or swimming a thick soup, like our oven roasted butternut squash soup.
