Jamu Juice Hummus (gluten free)

This recipe is so clean and healthy, and makes for a perfect appetizer while loading you up with so many powerful ingredients.


chick peas are high in dietary fiber, and are a great source of magnesium, potassium, and plant based proteins. They are great for helping with digestion, gut health, mental health, and can give you stronger bones.

natural sea salt contains sodium and potassium, both of which help to release retained water and reduce inflammation.


ginger is loaded with gingerol, a powerful antioxidant linked with improved immune function, better digestion and reduced inflammation.


turmeric is a powerful antioxidant shown to reduce inflammation and improve depression.


lemon juice is packed with vitamin C and has been proven to help fight infections and maintain pH balance.



INGREDIENTS


6.5 cups cooked chick peas

3/4 cup coconut cream (from simple milk)

3/4 cup lemon juice

1/4 cup coconut milk (from simple milk)

1 tbsp turmeric

1 tbsp honey

2 tsp SalterieOne classic sea salt

3 tbsp fresh ginger (minced)


METHOD


Blend together until desired consistency. Enjoy with your favorite crisps or veggies!
